The McDonald's Neighbourhood is an online research community where a select group of people can share their opinions and ideas, and play an important part in McDonald's overall decision-making.
The community is owned and brought to you by McDonald's Limited and is managed by Big Picture Marketing Strategy & Research Ltd.
Generally speaking, an online research community is a group of people who have voluntarily chosen to participate in online research studies about topics related to them and their interests.
In order to connect with people like you and to receive feedback, McDonald's has initiated The McDonald's Neighbourhood
Big Picture is a market strategy & research company that manages The McDonald's Neighbourhood. The information from The McDonald's Neighbourhood is analysed and reported by Big Picture. Big Picture will not disclose the information to anyone other than McDonald's and there are strict security measures in place to protect your information.
Completing a brief initial survey is the only information required for joining the community. This survey will ask for basic contact information, a few demographic questions and questions around your preferences regarding food and eating and the restaurants, cafes eateries etc. that you visit.
We need your email address to invite you to participate in surveys and discussions and to send you updates about The McDonald's Neighbourhood. We also need your email address so we can let you know if you have won a prize! Please be sure to keep your email address updated to ensure that you receive research communications.
Interesting excerpts from study results will be made available to all members via The McDonald's Neighbourhood home page.
Once or twice a week at most you may be invited to take part in a survey or discussion. We encourage participation in as many studies as you are invited to undertake. Because we believe we will be better able to improve our product offer by gaining a holistic understanding of what you do and do not like about particular products; and your experiences when buying our products, we hope you will participate in as many surveys as possible.
You will receive an email invitation with a unique URL address for each survey. Simply click on that URL or cut and paste it into a web browser of your choice and complete the survey online.
You can either complete the survey immediately or at a later time. You will usually have between 3 days and one week to complete a survey, however the closing date for the survey will be included in the email invitation you receive.
A typical survey takes 10 minutes or less to complete (occasionally there may be a 15 minute survey), depending on your Internet connection speed and the complexity of the survey. An approximate timeframe will be provided within each email invitation.
Now you have registered, each time you complete polls and surveys you will be rewarded with points. The number of points allocated per activity will be included with each email we send out to notify you. These points act like a “currency”, so when you build up enough points, you can use them to purchase Prezzy Cards. Prezzy Cards are fantastic as they enable you to spend the balance at most retailers across the country or you can use them for online purchases is they accept Visa (it’s like having cash or a voucher for anywhere!). We also have prize draws for Macca’s vouchers, iPads, Prezzy Cards and more!
Terms and conditions apply to the draws. You will find the details about the draw in either your survey invitation (email) or within the survey itself. Be sure to read the information provided so you are familiar with the terms and conditions.
In addition, you may be given exclusive gifts, offers and benefits that are not available to the general public.
It's up to you. We hope that you choose to remain part of the McDonald's Neighbourhood for a long time. If you ever wish to remove yourself, you can send an email request to email@example.com.
You can log in at any time to The McDonald's Neighbourhood and change your email address and password. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you encounter any problems updating your profile.
Click on the "Forgot Password?" link on the login area of The McDonald's Neighbourhood home page and enter your email address to receive a new password. The McDonald's Neighbourhood support team will email you back to reset your password after confirming your identity.

If you have a problem with the download of a page, please also include information such as the type of browser you are using (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.), the version (8.0, 4.0 etc.), as well as the platform you are using (Windows 7, Mac OSX, etc).
Every email you are sent from The McDonald's Neighbourhood will contain a link at the bottom, which will allow you to unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org and inserting 'Request Removal' as the subject of your email.
If you unsubscribe you will no longer receive emails from The McDonald's Neighbourhood. Previously shared information will still be kept, however this will only be in aggregate form and any identifiable information such as your name and address will become inaccessible.
